Pear on the Prairie Counselling
Rooted in the Canadian Prairies and founded by Ivana Hrushowy.
Pear on the Prairie Counselling draws inspiration from Ivana’s last name, based on the Ukrainian word hrusha (груша), meaning “pear.”
Like the rhythm of prairie life, pears invite you to slow down and notice what’s already here. They symbolize wisdom, transition, and growth, reminding us that change can be gentle, and that meaningful growth often unfolds slowly.
Counselling across western Canada
Based in the city of Calgary and extending virtually across western Canada, Pear on the Prairie provides a safe and supportive online counselling space where clients can grow and heal.
Ivana Hrushowy, a Canadian Certified Counsellor, meets nationally recognized standards for education, supervised training, and professional practice in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Online Telehealth Services
Telehealth counselling offers flexible, accessible support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Sessions are delivered through the secure video platform, Jane, providing the same level of care, connection, and confidentiality as in-person counselling.
Jane meets Canadian federal and provincial privacy requirements, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). A secure link is sent to your email before your scheduled appointment, simply click to join your session.
